"To My Hurting Child" and "With a Grateful Heart"
From
My Heart to Yours,
The Lord spoke to my heart
as I longed for His peace during the most challenging year of
my life. As I searched for Him in the midst of my suffering,
His Word brought me tremendous comfort and hope. As I lay
bedfast for nearly three months and housebound for nine, I
sought My Lord in a new way. Though a loving husband, family,
friends, and church tried to comfort me, it was God alone who
brought me peace.
“To My Hurting Child” and “With a
Grateful Heart” were born out of my precious time spent with
the Lord, My Healer. I began to see God’s promises in a new
way--as
His promises to ME, His hurting child. His promises of
healing brought me renewed hope when nothing else could. His
Word began to live inside my heart and fill my thoughts. I
began to speak His promises and come boldly before Him
claiming what Jesus died to give me.
When we are broken emotionally, physically, or spiritually, it
is difficult to understand how blessing and strength can come
to us. As we turn to Him,
He will begin to refocus, reshape, and refine us. He will
take our pain and suffering and replace
them
with His peace and joy. I know what He has done for me,
and I know He is waiting to do the same for you.
I pray that as you read and listen
to these healing letters,
you will be lifted by God’s promises. “Let us hold fast the
confession of our hope without wavering for He who promised is
faithful.” (Hebrews 10:23) There is power in His Word,
and it is given to us…
His precious children.
